What an aura ranking actually is
Most celebrity aura rankings are one writer's opinion published once a year. Internet aura rankings work differently: nobody scores anyone in isolation. Two names appear side by side, you pick the one with more presence, and the result nudges both of their aura points. Do that a few hundred thousand times and a genuine ranking emerges — one that reflects what an audience feels rather than what an editor argues.
Because the ranking is built from matchups, position is relative. Beating someone at the top is worth far more than beating someone at the bottom, and repeat votes from the same visitor count for less each time. What is an aura ranking?
An aura ranking orders people by how much aura — presence, charisma and composure — an audience believes they have. On The Aura 100 the ranking is built from head-to-head votes rather than editors' opinions, so the order shifts as the public keeps voting.

How are Aura 100 rankings calculated?
Every vote is a one-on-one matchup. Beating a higher-ranked person adds more aura points than beating a lower-ranked one, using an Elo-style rating. Repeat votes from the same visitor carry diminishing weight so no one can farm the ranking.
What are aura points?
Aura points are the score behind each position. Everyone starts from the same baseline and gains or loses points with each head-to-head result, so the number reflects how consistently someone wins matchups.
