The Aura 100 is an editorial list. Public voting informs it; SWAGGER Magazine's editorial team decides it. The process runs the same way every year.

    Candidates are identified by SWAGGER editors, contributors, industry experts and the public.

    Public Signal

    Performance within The Aura Rankings is analyzed.

  3. 03

    The Aura Standard

    Candidates are evaluated against the editorial Aura dimensions.

  4. 04

    Editorial Review

    SWAGGER's editorial team reviews the strongest candidates within each category.

  5. 05

    The 100

    Final selections are made and the annual Aura 100 is published.

What voting does and doesn't do

It does

  • — Surface names editors may not have considered.
  • — Show which comparisons culture is actually arguing about.
  • — Provide a public signal for the editorial review stage.

It doesn't

  • — Determine positions on the annual list.
  • — Guarantee inclusion, regardless of vote volume.
  • — Change a published edition. Published lists are permanent.
