The Aura 100

Legal

Terms of
Service

Last updated: August 21, 2026. By using The Aura 100, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

01

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using The Aura 100 website, apps, or services (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by SWAGGER Publications (“we”, “us”, “our”).

02

Description of the service

The Aura 100 provides two layers: a live, crowd-powered ranking of public personalities based on head-to-head voting, and an annual editorial list published by SWAGGER Magazine. Voting is free and optional accounts let you save history, favorites, and access My Aura features. The live ranking is an expression of community opinion, not an objective measure of quality or value.

03

User accounts

You may use the Service anonymously for voting. To save your history, claim a profile, or use personalized features, you must create an account with email or Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old.

04

Voting, nominations and content

Votes are final once submitted. We use algorithms and rate limits to discourage spam and manipulation. Nominations become property of the Service for editorial review and inclusion. You may not use bots, scripts, or coordinated inauthentic behavior to influence rankings. We reserve the right to remove votes or nominations we believe violate these rules.

05

Creator claims and verification

Public figures may claim their profile through our verification process. Claiming does not grant editorial control over the annual list, the live ranking, or community votes. We may remove a verified badge if the claim was obtained fraudulently or if the profile is used to mislead users.

06

Intellectual property

The Service, its design, branding, rankings methodology, and editorial content are owned by SWAGGER Publications or its licensors. User-generated content you submit (such as comments, nominations, or share cards) grants us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it on the Service. Portraits and images credited to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

07

Prohibited conduct

You may not use the Service to harass, defame, spam, distribute malware, scrape data, circumvent rate limits, or violate any law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that engage in prohibited conduct without notice.

08

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Rankings, scores, and editorial selections are opinions and may change. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. Links to third-party sites are not endorsements.

09

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SWAGGER Publications and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or one hundred Canadian dollars.

10

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario.

11

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
